Your holiday at Camping Ca’Savio can be the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful Italian cities, not far away from the campsite and reachable within a day.

Besides Venice, you can visit Treviso famous for Prosecco wine and villas, or Padua, the city of Saint Antony and Giotto, or Verona with the ancient Arena of Roman time and Giulietta’s balcony.

In Treviso (70 km from the campsite) you can visit Piazza dei Signori with Palazzo dei Trecento, the church of S. Caterina (XIV century), with the with the marvellous Cappella degli Innocenti and the frescos cycle of the Storie di S. Orsola, painted by Tommaso da Modena, the Dominican Church of S. Nicolò (frescos of Tommaso da Modena), City museum “L. Bailo”, and the Italian most important collection of advertising posters “Salce”.

We suggest:

  • A visit to the small and typical restaurants called “osterie”, where you can sample local wines (Prosecco, Cartizze, Refrontolo) and the traditional dishes “cicchetti” (meat, fish or vegetable snacks)
  • A walk along the river Sile on the “Restera”.

In Padua (about 100 km from the campsite) you can visit The Scrovegni chapel, frescoed between 1303 and 1305 by Giotto, The Basilica di Sant’Antonio where the saint’s body has been lying since almost 8 centuries, the works of Andrea Mantegna in the Ovetari Chapel at the Eremitani.

In Verona (about 170 km from the campsite) you can see The Arena, roman Amphi theatre in the historical center, which holds the famous lyric festival during the summer months, the Roman Theatre and the famous House of Juliet, destination of many lovers from the whole world.
