Venice with children
If you visit Venice with children we suggest:
- A visit to Doge’s Palace and its armoury, to the Bridge of Sighs and the prisons. A visit of the secret itineraries must be booked in advance. On the website of the Musei Civici Veneziani you can find all the information and details about the tickets’ prices.
- Kids Day: the Peggy Guggenheim Collection organizes on Sundays workshops and artistic activities for children from 4 till 10 years old.
- A ride in a gondola: price from 80 € onwards. A less expensive option is a ride on a gondola used by Venetians as unusual ferry to cross the Gran Canal (2.00 €). Departure from: San Tomà, San Samuele, Punta della Dogana – San Marco.
- Visit the Natural History Museum: aquarium, interactive games and a dinosaur’s skeleton!
To all our guests, we recommend a trip to Murano, the island known the world over for its Venetian glass, Burano, famous for its characteristic coloured houses and for its lace making, and Torcello, home to a number of impressive buildings that stand as testimony to the island’s origins as an ancient settlement.
