Get ready to discover new routes throughout the lagoon of Venice. As a start to the Summer, we have created 3 new routes so that you can explore the variety and beauty of the lagoon. The routes are of all levels and easy to enjoy.
We start of with a beautiful ride in Ca’Savio’s back garden. From the campsite we first take you to an open-air museum nearby. Batteria Amalfi is a one of the local historical buildings built as a defence for Venice during the Great War. Here you can stop for some historical information about our area, and go off exploring for a while.
From here we go to the end of our peninsula and take you to see the lighthouse of Punta Sabbioni, a nice spot for a refreshment and a look over the Adriatic.
After this break it’s time for a highlight, a spectacular view along the lagoon. Here the sun dances over the water, creating a natural light show, plus views towards some of the lagoon islands.
After this you can take a leisurely bike ride back to the campsite, if you take the ride on a Wednesday morning, we advise you to stop of at the local market in Ca’Savio, here you will find fresh fruits and other typical local products.
